Classy Camo

Coat: Zara (Old) | Shirt: Gap | Necklace: Aldo (Similar)
Skirt: H&M | Purse: Club Monaco | Shoes: Nine West (Old)

I’ve never been a huge fan of camo for clothes – especially the big, chunky variety that looks way too much like actual military gear. But when I spotted this skirt on sale at H&M, I decided to give it a shot. I love how it gives a bit of an edge to an outfit!

Fall fashion picks

Fall fashion

1. Club Monaco | 2. Mango | 3. Banana Republic | 4. Zara | 5. Tory Burch | 6. Aldo | 7. Zara |8. Topshop | 9. Kate Spade | 10. Coach | 11. Club Monaco

I love fall clothing for its richness – there are always deep hues of indigo and crimson on the racks and, of course, lots of basic black. This season there’s also so much happening with patterns and embellishments on clothing too, which leads to lots of fun and fabulous choices for holiday parties… the office… you name it! I love all the pieces I picked above – but especially that dress from Mango (picture it with black tights and heeled boots) and those darling flats from Coach. Also need to get my hands on that Club Monaco necklace – it’s the perfect way to glam up a little black dress.

What fall fashions are you loving right now?

High vs. low: Gold-toe shoes

High: Kate Spade | Medium: Club Monaco | Low: Old Navy

I love this trend right now – simple black pumps & flats with a touch of bling. But I think I’d err on the side of “too trendy to spend a fortune on” when buying these. If I’m spending three hundred bucks on shoes, they’d better be timeless and classic (aka never going out of style.) If you’re like me, those cute flats under thirty bucks are the way to go.

Black and white stripes

Blazer: RW&Co (Similar) | Shirt: Gap (Similar)| Glasses: Coach | Purse: Club Monaco | Jeans: American Eagle (Similar) | Shoes: Gap (Similar)

This is basically my fall uniform – comfy jeans, loafers and a blazer over a tee. Seriously, it’s hard to go wrong with a t-shirt & blazer combo (I was actually quoted in The Kit about this recently!)

Style: Patterns & colours for Fall 2013 fashion

Playing with pattern and colour for fall1. Kate Spade 2. Banana Republic 3. Club Monaco 4. Banana Republic 5. Smart Set 6. Kate Spade 7. J.Crew 8. Nine West 9. Smart Set 10. Gap

Who says fall fashion means a switch to neutrals, heavy knits and dark colours? Sure, I love chunky sweaters and boots as much as the next gal, but it’s great to see fall clothing push the envelope a bit. I love the collections out right now that have pops of colour and bold patterns. Those pink gloves from Kate Spade are gorgeous – and I’m excited to see that polka dot dress show up in a Gap near me!

Style: Blue dresses fit for a royal

Remember Kate Middleton’s stunning navy blue engagement dress? That one by Issa? I’ve sort of totally been in love with it since she first wore it. So of course, I was thrilled to hear there would be an affordable (!!!) Issa collaboration with Banana Republic. And even better: It seems Kate’s style (aka classy & classic dresses) has filtered into lots of autumn collections. My picks from different price points above!

1. Club Monaco: $229. This dress is on the pricey end, but so cute.
2. Issa for Banana Republic: $160. Here’s the dress that’s inspired by Kate’s engagement outfit.
3. Anthropologie: $118. This dress is more casual, but it still has the sleek vibe of the Issa.

Chartreuse dresses

Chartreuse is a hot colour for summer 2013 and it seems every store has at least one dress in this eye-catching shade. I have a necklace and other accessories in chartreuse already, but I’m definitely looking to invest in a dress sometime soon – just imagine how fab any of the dresses below would look when paired with gold jewelry or black heels!

1. Ruth dress, $169.50, Club Monaco. 2. Print shift dress, $29.00, Joe Fresh. 3. Chartreuse dress, $39.95 (Currently on sale: Originally $79.90), Mexx.
